Sequences will run off the event log — the same append-only stream that already records every contact, job and opportunity change — so a lead that arrives at 2am is treated exactly like one typed in at the counter. It needs a trigger/step engine (Cron Triggers are already in the stack; nothing runs against them yet). No sequence is running today, and none is shown here as if it were.
